Diagnosis.
Adult (

b) with wingspan 15.0–16.0 mm. Seventh sternite (
Fig. 4
b) with lateral ribs slightly sclerotized, antero-median rod broad, rounded apically. This species is similar to
H. xylotripta
Meyrick,
1918
in the male genitalia (
Fig. 2
b). It can be distinguished by the valva with the apex protruded triangularly, the costa roundly convex on the distal 2/3, the ventral margin with a fingerlike process at distal 1/3, and the aedeagus with many thorns and spinules of unequal size. In
H. xylotripta
, the valva is broadly rounded apically, the costa is slightly arched on the distal 2/3, the ventral margin has an angled, apically pointed process, and the aedeagus has 5-6 Yshaped thorns and numerous small triangularly shaped spines.
