The subtle differences between the nominal taxa Sarcophaga surcoufi Villeneuve and Engelisca adhamae Lehrer & Abou-Zied mentioned by Lehrer & Abou-Zied (2008) are here considered as not sufficient to justify a separation into distinct species.
