Type locality: Yemen , Socotra Archipelago, Socotra , Ra’s Farták. Remarks. Listed from “ Saudi Arabia , Socotra ” by Verves (1986a) and from Saudi Arabia with no further data by Abu-Zoherah et al . (1993 , as Pseudodiscachaeta pedestris ). The nominal species, which is known only from the type locality, is in need of a taxonomic revision ( Pape 1996 ), but it has not been possible to trace the type material. The nominal species was placed in the genus-group taxon Liosarcophaga Enderlein by Verves & Khrokalo (2018) , which is accepted here.
