Summary of taxonomic characters (after Ermolenko 1979 ). Female: Length with ovipositor 10.5 mm . Head capsule black, with lateral part of clypeus, lower inner orbit, lower part of gena, and stripe in posterior upper part of gena extending to level of upper margin of eye brownish white. Antenna blackish brown to black, with 15 antennomeres. Thorax black; posterior margin of pronotum marked with dark brown. Legs brown, with trochanters light brown and basal 1/3 of tibiae brownish white; basal half of tarsomere 1 of hind leg pale brown. Wings blackish infuscated with apical part of forewing hyaline; forewing with cell 3R1 closed at apex; crossvein 2r-m basal to crossvein 2m-cu on vein M; cell 2Rs about as wide as cell 1M; hindwing with cell R1 closed at apex. Abdomen black, with distinct brownish white lateral spots on terga 4–5 and 8–9 and with narrow whitish posterior margin of last tergum. Male unknown. Distribution . Russia ( Primorskij Kraj ). Host plant . Unknown. Remarks . Xiphydria kastsheevi is known only from the holotype from Chuguevskij rajon, Primorskij kraj , Russia ( Ermolenko 1979 ). It is very close to X. konishii and X. melanoptera , but is distinguished by the characters given in the key.
