Host range and distribution.
Mesostenoxenous species associated with the icterid birds (
Passeriformes

Icteridae
):
Cacicus chrysopterus
(Vigors)

Pseudoleistes guirahuro

both from
Brazil

).
Remarks.
This species was originally described as
Picobia ictericus
Skoracki
et al
. 2010
, but all generic characters of this species perfectly correspond with the genus
Neopicobia
, therefore we have moved it to this genus.
