For description see Korovchinsky (1992 , 2004 ). D. orghidani Negrea, 1982 was previously recorded for Hainan by Li et al. (2011) , these records probably belong to D. o. transamurensis as well, nominative subspecies D. o. orghidani is not recorded in East Asia ( Korovchinsky 2004 ). Diaphanosoma sarsi Richard, 1894 . In reservoirs, ponds and paddy fields, not common. Widely distributed in tropics and subtropics of the Eastern Hemisphere. Rare Oriental species, known from South India , Sri Lanka , Malaysia , Thailand , Philippines , and Hubei Province of China ( Korovchinsky 1998 ). For description, see Korovchinsky (2004) . Latonopsis australis Sars, 1888 . Encountered in the littoral of one reservoir (loc. 22) in winter. The species was described from Australia , it is presumed to be pantropical, but is probably a species complex ( Korovchinsky, 2004 ). Rather common in tropical Asia ( Korovchinsky 2004 , 2013). Pseudosida szalayi Daday, 1898 . Encountered in two paddy fields (loc. 40, 43) in spring. Paleotropical species, rather common in tropical Asia. Phytophilous species.
