Distribution.
Queensland and reported here for the first time from Victoria.
Remarks.
As stated before, specimens from Emu Creek show a large variation in size, males are 583–721 long and 494–583 wide, females are 680–940 long and 575–786 wide. Like
A. forpicatoides
, males have a small triangular extension on the fork-shaped petiole. The status of
A. perplexus
Smit
, a third species with a green coloured idiosoma and a fork-shaped petiole, has to be evaluated given the large variation in size and shape of
A. queenslandicus
. Unfortunately I have been unable to reexamine
A. perplexus
.
