Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa is the type locality ( Lewis 1901 ). Remarks. Margarinotus felipae was described from Iowa City, Iowa with no other habitat associations noted ( Lewis 1901 ). There is not enough habitat data known about M. felipae to determine its affinity with pocket gopher burrows.
