Brasiella ( Brasiella ) stamatovi : Wiesner 1992: 205 ; Cassola and Pearson 2001: 18 ; Erwin and Pearson 2008: 116 . Distribution ( Fig. 160 ). Argentina ( Tucumán ). Localities. Tucumán : Tucuman , ii.1950 ( Sumlin 1979: 104 ). Remarks. Due to the kindness of Lee H. Herman (AMNH) it was possible to study Sumlin’s type material. Its aedeagus ( Fig. 92 ) lacks an apical hook, the internal sac has a flagellum and dorsal spatulate sclerites. Aedeagi of the Brasiella have an apical hook and/or are lacking a flagellum. Aedeagi of Cylindera ( Cylindera ) have no dorsal spatulate sclerites. As the aedeagus of C. stamatovi lacks an apical hook and bears dorsal spatulate sclerites, it is transferred from Brasiella , where it was tentatively placed by Sumlin, to Cylindera ( Plectographa ) near C. eugeni (Laporte de Castelnau, 1834) .
