Occurrence: Austria , Azerbaijan , Bosnia , Bulgaria , France , Georgia , Italy , Montenegro , Morocco , Portugal , Russia , Slovakia , Switzerland , Turkey (WPC 2023). Known localities in Hungary : Berhida (Novák 2015). New data: Kecskemét : 1890, leg. LB (HNHM Pseud-1736: 1 adult ); Makád : 30.04.1988 , leg. OM (HNHM Pseud-1830: 1 adult ) . Habitat preference: The species is known from under tree bark ( Lessert 1911 ; Dashdamirov 1999 ), but in Slovakia it has been collected in pitfall traps ( Christophoryová et al. 2012 ). In Slovakia it has been reported from a floodplain forest ( Christophoryová et al. 2012 ), and in Hungary it was collected in loess steppe (Novák 2015).
