Rostrum broken, dorsal margin with 4 teeth visible, first two placed behind the orbit, ventral margin unarmed. Basal segment of antennular peduncle with stylocerite slender and acute, not reaches the half of this segment, anterior margin is straight or slightly convex and with anterolateral spine not overreaching the anterior margin. Scaphocerite with distal tooth not overreaching the apex of lamella. Carapace with antennal and hepatic spines. Mandible without palp. First pereopods overreaching the scaphocerite with part of palm, fingers unarmed and as long as the palm. Second pereopods equal in shape and size, overreaching the scaphocerite with part of carpus, fingers slightly smaller than palm. Third to fifth pereopods with simple dactyli. Abdomen with pleura of all somites rounded. Telson with 2 pairs of dorsal spines and 3 pairs of spines on posterior margin. Distribution. Western Atlantic: USA (Florida [Murray Key Bay], Texas [off Aransas]), Brazil (Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco [Fernando de Noronha]) ( Figure 14 ).
