Type material: A male type specimen of H . modesta Weise in the ZMHB from Itapura, São Paulo , Brazil , bears the following labels: grey [S. Paulo, Ihering], white [ Hinda modesta m], white [ LECTOTYPE , Hinda modesta Weise, Gordon 1971 ], red [ Syntypes , Hinda modesta Weise, 1910 , labeled by ZMHB 2003], one vial of the male genitalia dissected. This designation was not published so we now designate this specimen as lectotype . Four additional syntypes of H . modesta were received from ZMHB : one specimen with the following labels: grey [Mapin, Bolivia ], white [ ♂ ], white [ Hinda modesta Weise , ex. Coll. J. Weise], red [ Syntypes , Hinda modesta Weise, 1910 , labeled by ZMHB 2003]; two male specimens with the following labels: grey [Mapin, Bolivia ], white [ Hinda modesta Weise , ex. Coll. J. Weise], red [ Syntypes , Hinda modesta Weise, 1910 , labeled by ZMHB 2003]; one specimen with one vial of the male genitalia dissected, with the following labels: grey [Amazon, Staud.], white [Amazonas], [ ♂ ], white [ Hinda modesta Weise , ex. Coll. J. Weise], red [ Syntypes , Hinda modesta Weise, 1910 , labeled by ZMHB 2003]. These four syntypes are here designated paralectotypes . Other specimens examined: (17).
