Note: The specimens are in good agreement with the locotypes figured by Hayward et al. (2003) . They also have raised sutures on the spiral side. An umbilical plug may be developed in adult specimens, which otherwise is a characteristic feature of Ammonia parkinsoniana . The specimens from São Vincente have a much lower number of chambers in the last whorl with 6–8 as compared to A. parkinsoniana that usually has 10 chambers.
