Distribution and habitat:—
Occurs in the
Venezuela
(
Goldenberg
et al.
2013
). In
Brazil
it occurs in Amazonian forests (
Goldenberg & Caddah 2015
). In the reserve, it occurs in “igapó”, in open areas on sandy soil that are kept under the water during part of the year.
Comments:—
This species is frequent in the reserve, along the margins of lakes and river. This is the only species of
Miconia
that occurs in these environments.
