Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc). Discussion: megaphyllus species group. Includes chaseni and importunus ; see Hill (1983) . Formerly included javanicus , celebensis , madurensis , and parvus (e.g., by Goodwin [1979] and Hill and Thonglongya [1972] ) but see Hill (1983) and Kitchener et al. (1995 a ). Type material discussed by Csorba (2002) . Subspecies limits are somewhat unclear, and the relationships of various forms to celebensis and malayanus remains problematic; see Csorba et al. (2003) .
