( Figs. 1–3 ) Type material: Holotype male, China : Xizang Autonomous Region: Medog County, 960 m , 11.viii.2003 , Coll. M.F. Wang. Paratype : 1 male , same data as holotype . Description: Male: Body length 5.0 mm. Head: Eye bare; frons about 2/5 of head width, frontal vitta black on upper half, dark brownish on lower half, 5 strong frontal setae, inserted with 2–3 pairs of small upcurved hairs, 2 upper orbital setae, upcurved, frontoorbital plate and parafacial with silvery gray pollinosity, parafacial about 1/2–2/3 of first flagellomere width; antennal scape and pedicel­apex brownish, first flagellomere black, about 2.5 times as long as broad, arista long plumose, the longest hair about 1.5 times as wide as first flagellomere; lower face not projecting, vibrissal angle situated behind frontal angle in profile; genal height about 2/7 of eye­height, gena and genal dilation with black hairs, upper margin of gena with 1–2 rows of upcurved setae; prementum with pruinosity about 2.5 times as long as height; palpus dark brown to black, slender and long. Thorax: Black with densely grayish brown pruinescence, scutum with 4 longitudinal dark stripes in posterior view, the median pairs not reaching to scutoscutellar suture; presutural acr 2 rows, dc 2+3, ia 0+2, pra about equal to 1/2 of posterior notopleural seta in length; notopleuron, lateral and lower margins of scutellum bare; basisternum, proepisternum, anepimeron, katepimeron and meron bare; katepisternal setae 2:2; anterior spiracle yellowish, posterior one brown. Wing: Tegula and basicosta yellow, costal spine about as long as crossvein r­m, vein Sc curved bow­like, radial node bare, veins R4+5 and M conspicuously a little deviated from each other distally, crossvein dm­cu straight, crossveins without cloudy appearance. Calypteres yellowish, the lower one projecting tongue­like. Haltere yellow. Legs: Femora and tibiae yellow except for dark fore femur, tarsi black; fore tibia with 1 median p ; mid femur with a row of ad on basal 3/5 with hairlike av row and with 4 pv setae on basal half; mid tibia with 3 p ; hind femur with a complete row of ad , av row sparse and complete, 2 strong setae on apical, pv row comblike, only conspicuous on distal 1/3, hind tibia with 3 av , 2 ad , 1 small basal pd . Abdomen: Oval with densly grayish yellow pruinescence; tergites 2 to 5 each with a pair of dark brown point­like spots. Sternite 1 bare; sternite 5 and terminalia of male as shown in Figs. 1–3 . Female: Unknown. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Shenyang Normal University, Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China . Etymology: This species name is derived from the collection locality of the type species. Remarks: This new species closely resembles Helina eurymetopa Emden but differs from it in having parafacial about 1/2–2/3 of flagellomere width; calypters yellowish; mid femur with 4 pv , hind femur with comb­like pv row on distal 1/3; and abdominal tergite 2 with a pair of dark spots. Distribution: China : Xizang Autonomous Region.
