An undetermined morphospecies (

sp., [Fig. 5]) is known from the Maroni drainage basin. It is referred as
Characidium
sp.
2 in
Le Bail
et al.
(2012), but the particular colour pattern of the individuals collected in the Mitaraka might indicate another undetermined species, only known from Mitaraka, which was referred as
Characidium
sp. 3 by
Melki (2016)
.
