Gender: masculine. Type-species: Nemopoda stercoraria Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 [= Sepsis minuta Wiedemann, 1830 ], by original designation. Parameroplius Duda, 1920: 37 ( as Meroplius subgen.). Gender: masculine. Type species: Sepsis fasciculata Brunetti, 1910 , by monotypy. Diagnosis . Head with fronto-orbital, outer and inner vertical setae, also with 1 vibrissa only (sometimes small). Antennal arista bare. Thorax without postmetacoxal bridge: posteroventral area of thorax posterior and dorsal to hind coxae (between metepimera) membranous. Fore coxa without an osmeterium. Mid coxa bare, without strong seta in dorsal 1/2. Male fore femur with 2 black spines posteriorly ( Figs 1, 2 , 9, 10 ). Male hind tibia with an osmeterium anterodorsally. Wing with bm and br cells unfused, without black macula near apex of vein R2+3 . Male abdominal sternite 4 modified ( Figs 3, 4 , 11 ).
