Remarks.
The distinctive characteristics of
J
.
pteridis
(Matsumura)
are: aedeagal shaft first directed caudally then abruptly upturned; and the pair of short processes at the base on the dorsal margin of the aedeagal shaft. It is similar to
J
.
decliva
Viraktamath
et al
.
and
J
.
tappana
(Matsumura)
, and differs from the former in lacking apical lobes of the aedeagal shaft, and from the latter in lacking conical spines on the pygofer.
