Description.
Body small to medium sized. Ground color yellow or dirty yellow. Head wider or equal to pronotum. Eyes black. Vertex slightly produced medially, usually with one or pair of dark spots. Coronal suture distinct basally. Face dark, frontoclypeal area and lorum broad.
Abdominal apodemes short, usually not extended beyond 3rd sternite.
Pygofer lobe with posterior margin varying in shape among species, microtrichia scattered on caudal half and few microsetae on inner side of posterior margin. Subgenital plate constricted in middle aera with 3 macrosetae subbasally near outer margin, row of microsetae along outer margin. Style with apex short and robust in most species, preapical lobe distinct. Connective V or Y-shaped, central lobe usually present. Aedeagal shaft tubular, its location, shape, size and number of appendages varies among species; gonopore from subbasal to subapical on ventral surface.
Distribution.
Oriental, Afrotropical, Australian and Palaearctic regions.
