Glossadelphus prostratus
(Dozy & Molk.) M. Fleisch.
Both
Glossadelphus anomalus
from
Hainan
(
Tixier 1988
) and
Myurella brevicosta
from
Xizang
(
Gao & Cao 1992
) of
China
were mistook as
G. prostratus
and thus the species is once recorded from
China
(
Lin
et al.
1992
,
Jia & He 2013
). However, our study indicates that
G. anomalus
and
M. brevicosta
are not identical with
G. prostratus
, but species of
Ectropothecium
and
Bryocrumia
, respectively (See sections 3.1 and 2.1 above for details). Therefore,
G. prostratus
should be excluded from moss flora of
China
.
