The following taxon descriptions are restricted to the genera Cercotingis , Proteatingis , and Ulonemia ; these taxa include species that are: (i) previously or were provisionally assigned to Ulonemia at the commencement of this study; (ii) Proteaceae specialists; and (iii) with at least one species with Macadamia F.Muell. ( Proteales : Proteaceae ) as a host. Comparison of Ulonemia specimens from western WA to the descriptions and type photographs of U . mjobergi and U . plesia revealed that the species are synonymous. As U . mjobergi is the older name, all specimens of U . plesia are transferred to that species.
