Female
: Body length
5.25 mm
, fore wing length
4.75 mm
,
Head:
Antenna 34 segmented, as long as head, mesosoma and first two tergites of metasoma, terminal segment pointed, simple (not acuminate), 2.0 times longer than wide, penultimate segment 1.33 times longer than wide, first flagellomere 1.2 times longer than second and third. Scape 3.0 times as long as pedicel. Inter-tentorial distance 1.5 times tentorio-ocular distance. Face setose, almost quadrate in frontal view, as wide as high (
Fig. 15
b), width of face 0.50 times width of head. Head entirely coriaceous (
Figs 4
b–c, 15c), cubic in dorsal view, 1.4 times as broad as long, head extended considerably above to level of eyes. Eye height almost equal to width of face, eye glabrous in dorsal view. Temple not strongly receding behind eye. Stemmaticum with round edges, posterior ocellar line: transverse diameter of posterior ocellus: shortest distance between posterior ocellus to eye=3.5:1.0:5.0.
Mesosoma:
Almost entirely setose (
Fig. 15
d), 1.5 times longer than maximally high. Pronotum smooth laterally. Mesoscutum sparsely setose. Notauli weakly but distinctly impressed 0.88 of mesoscutum. Mesopleural sulcus absent. Scutellar sulcus narrow and finely crenulate. Propodeum coriaceous, with sparsely distributed setae and a longitudinal furrow on each pleuron.
Wings:
Fore wing (
Fig. 15
e). Ratio of length of veins SR1:3-SR:r=4.3:1.8:1.0. Ratio of length of veins 2- SR:3-SR:r-m=1.7:1.6:1.0. Veins 2-M & 3-SR, 3.00 times & 1.6 times as long as r-m, respectively. Vein 1-M straight. Vein 1-SR+M straight distinctly less sclerotized near origin 1-SR. Vein cu-a interstitial to marginally post furcal. Veins 1-M and m-cu distinctly converging posteriorly. Ratio of length of veins 1-M:m-cu=1.88:1.0. Vein 3- CU1 curved posteriorly.
Hind
wing. Evenly setose Vein SC+R1 1.8 times length of 1r-m. Vein 1r-m 1.3 times length of R1.
Legs:
Claw simple. Ratio of length of hind femur:tibia:basitarsus=2.05:2.55:1.0.
Hind
femur (excluding trochantellus) 2.7 times longer than maximally deep, broadest at middle, rather strongly laterally compressed, sparsely long setose laterally.
Hind
tibia sparsely setose.
Hind
basitarsus 4.0 times longer than maximally deep. Outer hind tibial spur reaching approximately 0.35 of distance along basitarsus.
Metasoma:
Almost entirely densely foveolate (
Figs 4
d–f, 15f), laterally compressed, covered with sparsely distributed small setae. First tergite rough, sparsely setose, weakly crenulated. Second tergite sparsely setose, finely and weakly crenulated, 1.2 times longer medially than third. Second and third tergites transverse, second tergite 1.22 times and third tergite 1.35 times as wide apically as long medially. Third tergite sparsely setose, crenulated. Fourth and fifth tergites sparsely setose, crenulated. Hypopygium large and protruding beyond apex of tergites. Ovipositor sheath
1.1 mm
long, ovipositor pointed at apex, without a distinct nodus. Lower valve of ovipositor with no teeth visible at
x40
magnification.
Coloration:
Face yellow brown with black spot in middle. Frons, temple (area around ocelli), clypeus black. Mesosoma yellow brown with propleuron, metascutum black. Wings almost clear, venation and pterostigma brownish. All legs yellow brown. Metasoma yellow brown. Sternites black with yellow brown markings.
Etymology:
Named in reference to its deflexed head.
