The species is placed in the A. veluticollis group by the small body size, slender median lobe of the aedeagus, and simple, not S-shaped spermatheca ( Assing 2003 ). In external morphology, the new species is most similar to A. yunnanensis Pace fromYunnan, but can be easily distinguished from it by the presence of four stout blackish setae on the pronotum anteriorly on either side, and the distinct aedeagal distal crest in lateral view. It differs from all other congeners by the shape of aedeagus. Description. 4.07–4.70 mm ; Coloration: forebody, posterior margins of abdominal segments III–IV, and abdominal tergites V–VII dark brown; anterior parts of abdominal segments III–IV, most of the paratergites, posterior margins of segments V–VII, and segment VIII reddish-brown; legs pale reddish-yellow; antennae reddish-yellow, with at least antennomeres IV–VII darker (Fig. 1A). Head as longer as wide; punctation sparse and rather fine; integument with very shallow microreticulation and glossy; Antennae very long and slender, approximately 3.1 mm long (Fig. 1A). Pronotum approximately 1.0 mm long, with pronounced sexual dimorphism ( Fig. 3 A); dorsal surface almost with pronounced microreticulation and matt, in anterior with four stout blackish setae. Median sulcus deep and narrow, not reaching anterior and posterior margins. Elytra short, at suture only approximately 0.74 times as long as pronotum ( Fig. 3 A); dorsal surface with fine and sparse punctation, with extremely shallow microreticulation (visible only at higher magnification), and distinctly glossy. Legs very long and slender (Fig. 1A). Abdomen widest at segments IV and V; punctation fine and very sparse; integument with extremely shallow, barely noticeable microsculpture and distinctly glossy; posterior margin of tergite VIII with palisade fringe. ♂: pronotum anteriorly on either side with four stout blackish setae ( Fig. 3 A); posterior margin of tergite VIII truncate and distinctly serrate ( Fig. 3 E); the distal crest of aedeagal median lobe rather distinct ( Figs 3 C, 3D). ♀: pronotum anteriorly on either side sharply edged, but without stout blackish setae ( Fig. 3 B); posterior margin of tergite VIII more pointed serrate than in ♂ ( Fig. 3 F); spermatheca shaped as in Fig. 3 G. Distribution. Southern China : Guangxi. Etymology. The new species is dedicated to Daren, Ya Wang’s nickname, who gave the senior author courage and confidence to continue his study. FIGURE 2.
