Distinguished by its rigid, more or less fastigiate habit, the branches all woody. Leaves are linear, 1-1.5 x 0.2 cm and mostly absent below. The hairs on the bracteoles and calyx are shorter than in the type. Distribution. Reported from Libya, Cyprus and Turkey ( Syngrassides 381, Seligman s.n. in Casey 1657).
