Mukhopadhyay . Diagnosis : Black. Abdomen strongly iridescent, the posterior margin of the ventral segments narrowly reddish; thorax multipunctate at the sides. Antennae black, the first joint more or less testaceous, the last often obscurely reddish. Legs reddish yellow, the tibiae often a little infuscate. Length 6–8 mm . Distribution : India : Uttarakhand (Tehri Garhwal, Dhaunlti, Dehradun), Sikkim , West Bengal (Darjeeling). Ex. ‘in cut grass and sometimes in dry dung’. Elsewhere : Sri Lanka .
