Diagnosis.
Males of
A. brevifasciata
have a triangular pygophore in ventral view (
Fig. 24
). with a knob-like tip projecting dorsocaudad. Further, the male profemur has two distinct hair patches (
Fig. 10
), whereas
A. javanica
has a single hair patch and
A. aquafrigida
and
A. speciosa
each have three hair patches. Males of
A. brevifasciata
have an unmodified proximal half of the profemur, whereas
A. cristata
and
A. riparia
each have a proximally incrassate profemur.
Discussion.
Amemboa brevifasciata
has been recorded from
China

Malaysia

Singapore

Thailand
, and
Vietnam

Thailand
, this species has been collected previously from Loei, Nakhon Nayok, Phitsanulok, and Ubon Ratchathani provinces (

). In this study, this species was collected from the margins and pools of streams almost throughout the Phetchabun Mountain Range.
