Uzbekistan : Tashkent Region—vicinity of Tashkent [Uz1a], Aktasch Village near Tashkent [Uz2] ( Verhoeff 1930 ; Zalesskaja 1978 ; Dobroruka 1979 ). Habitat records . Loess ( Verhoeff 1930 ). Remarks . Verhoeff (1930) suggested B . lutulentus could be identical to B . desertorum . Dobroruka (1979) studied the sole male specimen from “Aktasch, Taschkent”.Aktash is a city in the Samarqand Region of Uzbekistan , but Dobroruka probably mentioned Aktash Village in the Bostanlyk District nearby Tashkent. This idea follows Mikátová et al . (2020) (cf. type locality of Philonthus krali Hromádka, 1987 visited by the same collector in the same day: USSR Uzbekistan / Aktaš 1100–1300m / Taškent env. / 4.VII.1976 / Josef Král lgt.).
