Pocobletus coroniger
(A–D: Panama, Canal Zone, MCZ; E–G: USA, Georgia, Ellicott Rock Wilderness Area) genitalia. A, epigynum, cleared, dorsal. B, epigynum, cleared, ventral. C, epigynum, ventral. D, epigynum, caudal. E, male palp, ectal. F, epigynum, cleared, dorsal (sacs partially collapsed). G, epigynum, cleared, ventral. Scale bars: A, B, E, F, G: 0.1 mm; C–D: 0.5 mm.
Etymology:
The species epithet is the toponymic derived from the
type
locality, the Orizaba volcano. It is a declinable adjective.
Diagnosis:
Males of
S. orizabae
are similar to those of
S. izactepetl
differing by having the RCm curved inwards, with an arrow-like end (
Figs 24H
,
32B
). DSA similar to the
S. longispinosus
but thinner (
Fig. 24F, G
). Females of
S. orizabae
have the copulatory openings surpassing the midpoint of the epigynum (
Figs 25E
,
36B
) instead of being restricted to the anterior part as its congeners. COs dividers with slightly curved outward lateral lines and posterior edge slightly curved posteriorly (concavity down;
Figs 25E
,
36B
).
