This species is widely distributed in the Oriental and Palaearctic regions and was also introduced in North America for the control of Lymantria dispar . Hosts . The species was reared from a number of lepidopterous hosts mostly living in arboreal habitats (Noyes 2017). In Iran , it was reared from Pandemis in Azarbaijan and Ocneria joeniteris [ Ocneria signatoria poenitens Stgr. ] ( Lepidoptera , Lymantriidae ) on Tamarix and Pistacia atlantica subsp. mutica in the Kerman province (Lotfalizadeh et al . 2012).
