Sharp. Distribution . Originally described based on a type series from Antigua , Cuba , Haiti and the Virgin Islands ( Bryant 1940 ), until now thought to be a Caribbean endemic. Antigua , Ascension Island (new record), Barbuda , British Virgin Islands , Cuba , Dominican Republic , Guadeloupe, Haiti , Martinique, Montserrat, Puerto Rico , Saba, Saint Kitts and Nevis , Saint Lucia and Saint Maarten ( Bryant 1940 ; Richman 1989 ; this work). Remarks . Newly recorded from Ascension ( Figures 1-2 ), and indeed the first records from the South Atlantic. This species was very likely introduced with air freight or by shipping. Figure 1.
