Comments
The
holotype
of
Crioceris haemorrhoa
was dissected and is without any doubt conspecific with the common west Mediterranean
Exosoma lusitanicum
. The type locality “Cap” is evidently incorrect. Very probably the
holotype
was collected in the Mediterranean area during Thunberg’s travels and subsequently mislabelled.
