In Antarctic waters, a shelf species found at depths between 10 ( Puce et al. 2002 ) and 702 m (Peña Cantero 2009); present material at 536 m , epilithic on gravel. Epibiont on polychaete tube and sponge ( Soto Àngel & Peña Cantero 2015 ) and basibiont for other hydroids (Peña Cantero 2009; Peña Cantero et al. 2013). Gonophores in January ( Puce et al. 2002 ), December (Peña Cantero et al. 2013) and April ( Soto Àngel & Peña Cantero 2015 ). Species with an Australian-Antarctic distribution (Peña Cantero 2009).
