Body dark brown; mouthparts, antennal bases, elytra and legs reddish brown. Forebody sparsely pubescent, punctate and densely striate. Body length [average] male, 4.25 mm ; female, 4.11 mm . Male : Head (Fig. 12-1C, 12-2A) slightly broader than pronotum. Disc convex, with dense punctures and coarse longitudinal striae, bigger and denser on sides; vertex flat, without stria or not obvious, mid-longitudinal sulcus short, with shallow impression on each side before base. Supra-antennal ridge with margin incrassate. Temples dilated, approximately two times as long as eyes. Clypeus nearly square, about 1/3 of total head length, convex, sparely punctate and glabrous, with anterior margin straight. Epistomal suture with lateral portions straight and parallel, running backward to level of anterior margin of eyes. Occipital suture straight or slightly curved forward in middle. Antenna filiform, segment IV globular, V–X short and transverse, ultimate one stilliform. Neck with smooth area carrying a few large punctures, about same size as those on head. Pronotum (Fig. 12-1C, 12-2A) transverse, broadest at near anterior 1/3; disc slightly convex, with longitudinal sculptures and dense large punctures, puncture intervals large; mid-longitudinal sulcus deep, narrowing to base, with two shallower and broader paramedial sulci, and bounded by two longitudinal carinae, and with two shallow para-lateral depressions close to lateral margins. Anterior margin nearly straight, anterior angles obviously produced. Lateral margin obvious crenate on posterior half. Lateral and posterior margins running continuously, curve-formed, posterior angles not easy to seen. Scutellum with crest-shaped impression, median lobe sharp. Elytra densely sculptured and punctured, not pubescent; lateral margin curved and posterior margins truncate. Abdomen coriaceous, covered with punctures and pubescence. Sternite VII (Fig. 12-1E, 12-2C) with posterior margin broadly and shallowly emarginate, and bearing setae laterally; with deep notch in middle and a pair of rounded flat process beside. Sternite VIII (Fig. 12-1F, 12-2D) with posterior margin broadly emarginate and bearing setae laterally, with two rounded lobes in middle, not beyond lateral angles posteriorly. FIGURE 12-1. Aedeagus (Fig. 12-1H–J, 12-3A–C) with median lobe elongate, inflated at base and shortly narrowing to apex; apical orifice large and ventral orifice crescentic; internal sac of median lobe with complicate sclerites. Parameres (Fig. 12-1K, 12-3D) arm-like, closely situated to each other and twining around median lobe; apex flattened and enlarged, with rounded process at middle of ventral edge, long seta and a row of regular seta on base. Female . Head (Fig. 12-1D, 12-2B) smaller than male. Clypeus slightly convex. Temples shorter than male but slightly longer than eyes. Sternite VII with posterior margin straight. Sternite VIII (Fig. 12-1G, 12-2E) with posterior margin broadly rounded and produced. Spermatheca (Fig. 12-1L, 12-3E) with base bulb-like, with apical part clavate and slightly curved. Distribution.
