( Figs 10 – 13 ) Diagnosis. Similar to Malthinus seriepunctatus Kiesenwetter, 1852 , in body shape but different from it in pronotal shape. Pronotum distinctly coarse; cylindrical with strongly bordered anterior and posterior margins. Elytra with rows of punctures. Body greyish–brown and uniformly coloured. FIGURES 10–13. The species name is given in honor of the Polish entomologist Daniel Kubisz. Description. Body ( Fig. 10 ) 3.2 mm long. Head wide, frons slightly punctate. Eyes small, convex, diameter as long as temple length. Temples parallel, not narrowed backwards. Maxillary palp 4-segmented, last segment very thick, tapered at the end ( Fig. 11 ). Antennae thin, 3.5 mm long, longer than body, segment 2 shortest, segments 3–11 each about 1/3 longer than segment 2. Pronotum cylindrical, anterior margin distinctly shorter than posterior one ( Fig. 12 ), both distinctly bordered, separated from rest of disc, with deep groove; black spot on posterior half. Elytra long, with irregular rows of big shallow punctures. Legs slender; tibiae straight, pale, yellow-brown, femora dark. Last sternites visible ( Fig. 13 ). Materials examined. Type material.
