Distribution.
Chartoscirta elegantula
is a Euro-Siberian species reaching south to
Iran
, Central Asia and
India
(Himachal Pradesh). In northern regions it is represented by the nominotypical subspecies, in the southern regions by
Ch
. e. longicornis
. However, taxonomic status of both subspecies and their geographical interrelationship requires clarification (
Lindskog 1995
,
Aukema
et al.
2013
).
