It is spread mainly in the Pyrenees (Ornosa & Torres 2009), although there is a quote from the Cantabrian Range (
Obeso 1992
). It has an orophilous tendency (

), between
1800 and
2520
m.
The last samples (

) were collected in a wet alpine pasture in a peatland in the upper limit of a fir-pine area with
Abies alba
,
Pinus sylvestris
L. and
Pinus uncinata
, with scattered patches of creeping juniper scrub, cranberry and heather, among others, also on
Vaccinium myrtillus
and
Trifolium pratense
at
2020 m
.
