Starke. 12.6.2001 , leg. Starke”, coll. Starke. Discussion and differential diagnosis. The new species from the south-facing slope of the Sierra Nevada ( Spain : Prov. Almería) belongs—morphologically—to the Kyklioacalles teter-barbarus group: with its "double integument of elytra and pronotum", which means that the space between the punctures is also covered with scales (Stüben 2006). These species don’t have any clusters of high erected bristles on the elytra. The new species Kyklioacalles plantapilosus must be compared with the most closely related species from Tunisia and southern Spain (Andalusia): Kyklioacalles bupleuri Stüben, 2004 (= Kyklioacalles almadensis Stüben, 2004 syn. n. ), and Kyklioacalles anthyllis Stüben, 2004 from the Sierra de Cazorla (locus typicus) and the Sierra Nevada too (see above).
