Syntypes. ZMB 4807 (two specimens according to Peters 1882b and ZMB inventory catalogue), "Boror" [Companhia do Boror, Zambezia Province, Mozambique], coll. Wilhelm Carl Hartwig Peters. Present name. Hyperolius argus Peters, 1854. Remarks. Peters (1882b : 165) refers to two syntypes which he found in March 1846 in a bush at the edge of the forest near Boror. Depicted in Peters (1882b , pl. 22, fig. 6) and mentioned and depicted by Tornier (1896 : 146, pl. 4, fig. 72 [= ZMB 4807]). Only one syntype could be located. Hyperolius argus see Hyperolius flavoviridis , Hyperolius tettensis .
