Identification. This is a large, brownish rat snake identified by three black lines that radiate from the eye and four black stripes on the front of the body that fade towards the back ( Kabir et al. 2009 ). Habita t. We encountered this species in low numbers in all habitats in LNP. On occasion it would wander into homes and be the subject of village “snake calls.”
