"Habitat in Italia, Gallia australi." RCN: 5468. Type not designated. Original material: Herb. Burser XIX: 125 ( UPS ) ; Herb. Linn. No. 917.7? ( LINN ) ; Loefling 531b , Herb. Linn. No. 917.8 ( LINN ) ; [icon] in Bauhin & Cherler, Hist. Pl. Univ. 2: 351. 1651. Current name: Coronilla minima L. subsp. minima ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ). Note: Although this name is in use, none of the original material appears to correspond with current usage. As noted by Turland & Jarvis (in Taxon 46: 467. 1997), Gerard 50 , Herb. Linn. No. 308.16 ( S ) is identifiable as C. minima but was annotated as C. coronata by Linnaeus (and is in any case a post-1753 addition to the herbarium and not original material for C. minima ). A conservation proposal may prove to be necessary.
