Harpactea hombergi

Comments.
In his popular book ‘The Comity of Spiders’ on English spiders,
Bristowe (1939)
cites Majorca as within the distribution area of
Harpactea hombergi
.
This is the only record and the presence of the species in the Balearics is strongly doubted (
Pons & Palmer 1996
). The species is deleted from the island’s list.
