Remarks.
The new material of
P. sylvatica
is all from the type locality.
Taxonomic remarks.
Millidge (1995)
, referring to the close relationship of the genera
Pronasoona
and
Nasoona
, pointed out the similarity of their habitus characters (see
Figs 48–50, 53
). At the same time, he mentioned differences in the palp structure of these genera, but failed to specify any. Nevertheless, the differences are quite significant: the embolic division in
Pronasoona
, in contrast to
Nasoona
, has no convector, but has a large radix with a relatively short tailpiece (see
Figs 51, 52
). In addition, the embolic division in
Pronasoona
, in contrast to
Nasoona
, shows a hypertrophied and complex anterior radical apophysis that bears several strongly sclerotized or membranous outgrowths.
