As for T. fossor but scrobes broadly visible in dorsal view; scales shorter, suberect, plumose, recurved, on pronotal disk concentrated in paramedian and anterolateral tufts; elytra with strial regions with linearly arranged, distinct, plumose scales. Collected from berlese extraction of transition cloud forest, cloud forest and wet oak forest leaf litter at elevations from 1300–1900m . Derivation of specific name .
