Remarks
First record from
Denmark
. This is a very variable species, with numerous variations connected to one another through an inseparable mess of intermediate forms (
Santamaria 2002
). The absence of protuberances on the perithecial body and of outgrowths near or at the perithecial apex is a first clue to classify this perhaps collective species.
