Ecology: —Common; saxicolous and terrestrial on open soils, often on roadbanks, less common on grassy slopes and in thickets, in humid regions as well as in semihumid valleys; 2400–3800 m . Notes: —Long known as E. minutum , but that name applies to a species of sect. Squamipedia ( Vasco et al. 2013 ).
