Carcavallo et al. (1960) described two further species from Bolivia . With the recent revalidation of H. australis Wygodzinsky, 1947 , the genus now includes 32 species (Forero & Gil­Santana 2003). H. cachabi was previously known only from the type localities, “ Cachabi ” and “Parambá” ( Wygodzinsky 1947a ), both located in northwestern Ecuador . This species ( Fig. 30 ) constitutes a new record from Colombia , and extends the distribution of this species to the north.
