COMMENTS: Mathews cited his catalog number of the
holotype
in the original description and gave the range of the form as ‘‘Melville Island.’’ The
holotype
bears, in addition to Rogers’ label and Mathews and Rothschild type labels, a ‘‘Figured’’ label, indicating that it was illustrated in
Mathews (1925a
: pl. 556, upper fig., opp. p. 109, text p. 117) where it is confirmed as the type of

.
Mathews (1912b: 26)
noted that he had received two shipments of specimens collected by
Rogers on Melville Island
;
these included specimens collected in 1911 at
Coopers Camp.
