DISTRIBUTION:
Tlacuatzin insularis
occurs in the Islas Marías (also known as the Tres Marias Islands) off the Pacific coast of
Mexico
(
Arcangeli et al., 2018
: fig. 3).
REMARKS: A very brief morphological diagnosis and tabulated measurement data were provided by
Arcangeli et al. (2018)
, whose phylogenetic analyses of DNA sequence data suggest that
Tlacuatzin insularis
is the sister taxon of
T. sinaloae
.
