Lacosoma valva
is one of the few species of
Lacosoma
that is easily recognizable, in particular by the satin black ground color and yellowish pale postmedial lines. This species is broadly distributed in the Amazonian region, and is therefore another expected species for
Trinidad
. The only
Trinidad
specimen known to us was taken at light in lowland forest (Valencia Forest; see comments under
Alheita caudina
above).
